There has been a discussion here about using the html version of the manual
together with Qt Help framework:

Basically, I wrote a python script that parses the html manual and generates
xml files that are read by qcollectiongenerator to produce a qhc file (qt help
collection). Then one can use the QtHelp framework to index the manual and
show pages in a simple QTextEdit widget.
