Follow-up Comment #8, bug #53023 (project octave):

@Dmitri: Apparently my PDF viewer (Okular) is helpfully filling in the rest of
the marker.  On my computer lw36.pdf looks different from all the others, but
it is actually better if all formats have the same problem.  It means there is
only one place where this needs to be resolved.
