Follow-up Comment #10, bug #54235 (project octave): @Michele: I made some changes and generated a new configure file which is attached to this bug report as configure.gz. Could you rename your existing configure, then gunzip configure.gz, then run ./configure as you normally would? It would be nice if you could capture the output of the configure run and upload it. For example, with syntax like so ./configure --YOUR_OPTIONS | tee myconf.log Inside myconf.log I expect to see configure: defining FPICFLAG to be -fPIC if this has worked.
