Follow-up Comment #16, bug #40111 (project octave):

Here is an m-file function that should return the proper architecture name to
use in Java file paths of the form
"${JAVA_HOME}/jre/lib/${ARCH}/server/libjvm.so". If someone finds this useful
and worth preserving, it can be ported to C++ if needed.
