Follow-up Comment #18, bug #40111 (project octave):

Also if I set JAVA_HOME=/tmp, the code uses the compiled-in JAVA_LDPATH. What
should be the behavior if JAVA_HOME is set, but is set to a nonexistent
directory or to a directory that is not actually a Java directory?
