Follow-up Comment #26, bug #40111 (project octave):

Markus - I don't know about Windows, but at least on GNU/Linux, 32-bit x86
Java runtimes older than version 8 may contain both
jre/lib/i386/client/libjvm.so and jre/lib/i386/server/libjvm.so, and in that
case this selection logic prefers to use the client instance.
