Follow-up Comment #32:

I don't see the delay when building mxe-octave using the new --with-msys2
configure option.  Closing as invalid because I don't think the delay is due
to something we are doing wrong in Octave, but a problem with the old msys
tools.  I'll also make the --with-msys2 option the default so that we can do
more testing of those tools.
