Follow-up Comment #2, bug #54609 (project octave):
I thought it was an error in Octave as Octave itself has no JIT.
Thank you, I can confirm that switching graphics toolkit to gnuplot resolves
this problem. However I will still see what can be done about disabling LLVM's
JIT and what the consequences of not doing so are.
