Follow-up Comment #10, bug #54607 (project octave):
I just recognized that I have missed the save as dialog. This one can not use
native dialogs since it is modified for choosing line endings and text
encoding. The latter also holds for opening editor files where the encoding
can be selected. This is now disabled with my patch since only non-nantive
dialogs can be extended by own ui elements.
