Follow-up Comment #11, bug #54672 (project octave):
Would it be useful to include a message in the case
that the user .inputrc replaces the Octave default?
I was not aware that this was the intended behavior
and therefore had considerable effort discovering
what was happening. It is not likely that many users have
carefully read Section 2.4 of the Manual.
