Follow-up Comment #23, bug #54607 (project octave):

Sounds great! 

If there would be an easy way (e.g., flatpak or deb package with the applied
patch), I'd rapidly test it myself in KDE neon (on top of Ubuntu 18.04), but I
guess it's tricky to build it.
