Details:
My lab provides an easy way to install Octave on windows systems: without any
admin privilege one can use a home made software center to install Octave
silently in one click.
An annoying side effect of installing Octave is that .m files are then
associated to Octave and people who also use Matlab have to manually change
this if they still want Matlab to be the main .m interpreter.
Now comes the request: could there be an option for skipping the file
association step? Or even better, could the install script detect if .m is
already associated to Matlab and skip the file association step in this case?
