Follow-up Comment #19, bug #47585 (project octave):

I couldn't seem to devise any link situation that caused a problem, so the
QFileInfo(str1) == QFileInfo(str2) is probably not needed.  Whenever a link it
opened, the file name gotten by the editor is the original file, i.e. "edit
tf.m" will open the file named "testfun.m".
