Follow-up Comment #3, bug #54879 (project octave):

That is, it does works with selecting right click, "copy".

But while that works indeed in Mageia-6, Ctrl-C doesn't.
Ctrl-C works about everywhere else for copying selected text to the
clipboard.

I'll try again in Windows and if it's the same there I'll adapt the subject
line & OS.
