Thanks Pantxo, I confirm item #2 is now fixed.

My main concern for item #1 was uimenu objects which are now accessible so we
can consider it fixed (and open a new bug report if and when uitoolbar objects
becomes a concern).

Item #5 was implemented for figure.m by Rik in
https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/810c7df7e5e7
It is still not implemented for ui*.m (I actually came across it this very
morning). Porting the change to __uiobject_split_args__.m would be an option.
