Follow-up Comment #30, bug #54607 (project octave):

Also, I am not using any NFS shares.  In fact, These two messages came up in a
shell window from which I had launched the Octave GUI.


Trying to convert empty KLocalizedString to QString.
kf5.kio.core: KSambaShare: Could not find smb.conf!


So, I'm very sure that I'm not reaching out to any external drives and
experiencing network timeouts.
