Follow-up Comment #37, bug #54607 (project octave):
Kai - the issue with SIGCHLD and the KDE native file dialogs was the original
reason why Octave switched from native dialogs to Qt dialogs in the first
place. See patch #7948.
As I mentioned in comment #1, this problem was supposedly fixed in Qt 5.5, so
Qt programs ought to be free to use SIGCHLD however they wish and not
interfere with this plugin, but from my point of view this is only what I have
read.
I don't use KDE so I have no way to test this, the GNOME native file dialogs
work just fine for me (and a much improved user interface over the Qt default
style).
