Follow-up Comment #5:
I tightened the input validation on contourc so data which is not at least 2x2
will generate an error, rather than a segfault. See this changeset on the
stable branch: https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/80643ff8c8b7.
This will be a part of Octave 5.0 scheduled for release at the end of the
year.
