Follow-up Comment #8, bug #55032 (project octave):
After some internet research I think there is no "easy" to implement such a
widget. And I do not know a Qt application which uses one. For example, the
Qt-Assistant tool has a "Back" button and to its right side a separate push
button with the back history menu. To conclude, I suggest to leave the current
solution for the editor as it is and close this report.
