Thank you, yeah this all looks good to me now.

Building without CPPFLAGS I get


configure: WARNING: disabling SUNDIALS because something is missing, solvers
odee15i and ode15s will be disabled


and building with CPPFLAGS=-I/usr/include/suitesparse I get no warning and
build succeeds with functions enabled. Only testing with sundials 3.1.2
installed for now.
