Follow-up Comment #1, bug #55785 (project octave):

Ive been able to duplicate the issue before, hwoever  using a new compile of
mxe at commit https://hg.octave.org/mxe-octave/rev/5049ab5e66f6 and it doesn't
seem to be pasting the extra junk.
