Follow-up Comment #39, bug #55823 (project octave):

I can confirm the issue on Window 7 following the steps of comment #36.

Remarkably, the tabs are closed before rmdir () prompts whether to close the
entire directory or not.

And even more remarkably, the editor tabs were also closed at the end of the
io package installation!
