Follow-up Comment #33, bug #42136 (project octave):
The code might still be there, but the behavior looks a lot better with the
current upstream QTermWidget code. Here's what I get when running it in Octave
4.4.1 inside the current development qterminal 0.14.1: file #46630. The
diagonal lines appear, though they look a bit raggedy.
I'll still look at putting together an upstream bug report, but now it looks
more like a minor cosmetic issue.
