Follow-up Comment #27, bug #55908 (project octave):
I don't have a toy example illustrating the problem yet but, since this
changeset:

I get the error message:
error: base_graphics_toolkit::update: invalid graphics toolkit
execution error in graphics callback function
It happens when I resize a figure containing several ui* elements. The resize
callback deletes a uimenu then rebuilds it. The error seems to come from the
delete() call. I don't manage to reproduce it with a simple example so it
might be a race condition when there are many elements.
