Follow-up Comment #3, bug #56828 (project octave):
Thanks Kai. As I understand it, the intent of the change was to always handle
signals in Octave, not in external code. So correspondingly, we need to ensure
that calls into external code do not block for long periods of time. The way I
read the comment, the goal is not to rework signal handling yet again, but to
address each case individually and delete the obsolete macro as they are
fixed.
