Update of bug #56857 (project octave):
Status: None => Confirmed
Summary: Callbacks not executed in waitfor => ButtonDownFcn
and KeyPressFcn callbacks not executing

Follow-up Comment #1:
The waitfor is irrelevant to this working or not for me. I confirm that
nothing happens when a ButtonDownFcn is set on the image object, the axes
object, or the figure object, or if a KeyPressFcn is set on the figure object.
