Follow-up Comment #14, bug #55048 (project octave):

With changeset http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/44c72e41d468 window
decorations are added to floating VE subpanes. This provides thicker borders
for grabbing them by the mouse. However, issues are:

* Window decorations are not working on every window manager as we have
already recognized with floating "main" dock widgets of the gui
* Now, VE subpanes have the same look like floating main dock widgets, which
not really improves the overview over all gui widgets.
