Follow-up Comment #2, bug #56901 (project octave):
The result for
eye + [1,0;0,0]
is correct. "eye" without argument gives 1 and this 1 is added to each
component of the second matrix in the sum. I guess
eye(2) + [1,0;0,0]
is what you meant.
