URL: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?56916> Summary: Default "paperpositionmode" should be "auto" Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: pantxo Submitted on: mar. 17 sept. 2019 17:06:19 UTC Category: Plotting with OpenGL Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Matlab Compatibility Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: dev Operating System: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: For years we have been used to "paperpositionmode" being "manual" for ML compatibility. This was counterintuitive though: people were expecting that a larger figure onscreen would lead to an equivalently larger figure in printout. Now ML seems to have switched to "auto" as the default [1] and I'd like to do the same in Octave. This would be more intuitive (and eventually ML compatible).
