URL: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?56954> Summary: optimset option ('Display', 'iter') doesn't work Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: None Submitted on: Wed 25 Sep 2019 11:26:23 PM UTC Category: Octave Function Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Inaccurate Result Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Huy Ngo Originator Email: address@hidden Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 5.1.0 Operating System: Microsoft Windows _______________________________________________________ Details: When I use `optimset` with displaying iteration parameter as option for `fzero`, it doesn't show any iteration at all. Attached are the .m file and the screenshot of the command window. I have tried these alternatives: - Defining f in a separate file - Writing on the command instead of the file - Defining f and optimset directly within fzero - Not assigning fzero to any variable - Assigning fzero to all four variables My friend who uses MATLAB write the same code and it worked - it shows the table as it should (attached file). _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed 25 Sep 2019 11:26:24 PM UTC Name: Screenshot_3.png Size: 2KiB By: None <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=47575> ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed 25 Sep 2019 11:26:24 PM UTC Name: bug_report.png Size: 137KiB By: None <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=47576> ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed 25 Sep 2019 11:26:23 PM UTC Name: labwork1.m Size: 95B By: None <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=47574> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?56954> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
