Follow-up Comment #4, bug #57395 (project octave): Actually not sure if its a bug or just how octave 6 now works. Installing say nurbs, using the nurbs repo, I get the following error during pkg install. error: regexp: the input string is invalid UTF-8 error: called from install>extract_pkg at line 321 column 11 install>create_pkgadddel at line 724 column 7 install at line 226 column 7 pkg at line 475 column 9 After finally finding which file its complaining about (nbr2iges.m) I see its encoded latin1, vs some of the others that are utf8.
