Follow-up Comment #14, bug #57399 (project octave):

We don't necessarily expect the Delaunay triangulation to be the same, if that
is where the difference is coming from.  There may be differences in the
options passed to the QHull library between Octave and Matlab.  Matlab used to
allow you to set these options, and we chose the same ones at the time. 
Currently, they do not say what options they are using so it may have changed.
