Follow-up Comment #18, bug #57730 (project octave):

I just installed 5.2.0 zip on a fresh Windows 10 VM, opened a standard command
prompt to «OCTAVE»\usr\bin, ran sh, and everything seems to work fine.

I also started Octave with octave.vbs, ran system('sh'), and everything seems
to work fine there too.
