Follow-up Comment #15, bug #57658 (project octave):

I just realized for the change to mkoctfile.m, thats only going to work for
something that calls mkoctfile from a octave script.

The makefile from a pkg install etc will just call the mkoctfile exe
directly.

So to disable the colors being sent to gcc would need the gcc command line
changed in the mkoctfile.cc sources.
