Follow-up Comment #6, bug #57834 (project octave): I, once again, told McAfee to restore the dll from quarantine and now Octave again starts without the warning/error dialogs. Not sure why the file got quarantined again when it was in the exclusion list. Maybe I need to think about contacting McAfee about that. John - you mentioned a build of the dll that doesn't trigger the problem.
