I hoped someone could confirm my findings on Windows with 
__run_test_suite__.m nomarkup-. Octave felt much slower but I didn't expect it
to be *that* much slower.

Is the new cset to be applied "on top of" the one in comment #7? I guess so,
looking at the cset.
I'll try the cset tomorrow.
