Follow-up Comment #9, bug #57879 (project octave):
are you working with Utkarsh on this patch?
As mentioned in comment #5, for matlab compatibility the functions should not
produce an error for n < 0 , it should return true.
Also, this patch still doesn't have any updates to the help text, self tests,
or NEWS as requested in comment #6.
Last, you should see the wiki page description of recommended format for patch
