Follow-up Comment #20, bug #57635 (project octave):

Philip, thanks for testing. So it can still affect Linux, too, if, e.g.
qscintilla verson >= 2.11.4 introduces this issue. The shortcuts not working
might have the same cause, i.e. that the focus is not properly transferred to
the editor.
