Follow-up Comment #25, bug #57635 (project octave):
In the meantime I can reproduce the issue when removing one of two tabs.
But when removing an open file, I get the warning dialog that the editor file
was removed and how to proceed. Maybe this dialog is hidden by another window
in your configuration? When the dialog is active the related editor file is
read only and can not be changed.
