Follow-up Comment #8, bug #58159 (project octave):

I have another GUI application installed that uses Qt and seems to be stable.
I'll see if I can do a bit more debugging over the next few days, although
debugging this sort of complex, multi-threaded program is stretching my
experience/abilities a bit.
