Follow-up Comment #40, bug #57635 (project octave):

I have just build and tested 2c9795736894. This is from june 2019 and it also
shows the problem ;-)

In 2019 I made lots of local builds, always as a fetch from the hg tip of the
devel branch and they were all okay until the problem started end of 2019.

I think a Qt update could be a hot candidate. I currently build against
libQt5Widgets from V 5.13.2
