Follow-up Comment #2, bug #58323 (project octave):
sorry for being incomplete.
If the following command is executed from the gui editor (e.g. with F9)
x = ...
1
one gets
>> error: parse error
syntax error
>>> octave_eczKyS (1, '1', '1');
^
This worked in older (<6) versions. I am currently using
GNU Octave Version: 6.0.1 (hg id: ce7a5b60e102)
