Follow-up Comment #11, bug #58323 (project octave):
So to have the best of both worlds: Would it be possible to execute the
commands as a block but add them to the history line by line?
I'm not sure how appending to the history works though.
Also I don't think it is necessary to prepend PS1 in front of every command
when several are run as a block. Fwiw, Matlab doesn't bother to insert the
">>" in this case either.
