That sounds good to me.
Fwiw Matlab's output for F9'ing the following commands
a = 5
b = 1
a
3
b
looks like this:
>> a = 5
b = 1
a
3
b
a =
5
b =
1
a =
5
ans =
3
b =
1
So it is basically a "disp" followed by an "eval" for the whole block.
But we don't have to follow exactly. What you outlined might be just as good.
