Follow-up Comment #30, bug #58323 (project octave):
If we want to have the functionality of the use case in comment #28, i.e.,
extending the selected code, wouldn't it be better to have a separate "Copy
selection into console"? When using F9, you are only able to extend the code
when it is an unfinished sequence.
@Markus: You are right, the current design throws an error, since the temp.
file has a syntax error.
