Follow-up Comment #32, bug #58323 (project octave):
With the previous "F9" behavior the selected code was executed line by line in
the console. A keyboard-command within the selection had no effect, i.e., all
following commands were still executed. That was the main reason for the
change.
I think that "Copy selection to console" might be an additional feature if you
do not want to run the code immediately but to have it in the console window
for extending and then executing.
