Follow-up Comment #17, bug #58641 (project octave):
I am no longer able to reproduce the original crash (even without the patch).
So I wasn't sure if we'd need another mechanism to override the default value
for the Java setting "jdk.lang.processReaperUseDefaultStackSize".
I thought the debugging messages could help if someone who is still affected
by the original issue tries the patch (and the override mechanism outlined in
comment #12).
But you are right: A final patch should not change Vdebug_java.
