Follow-up Comment #9, bug #59022 (project octave): I wouldn't check version numbers, but agree with Carnë that using isa (fun, "inline") makes sense. Maybe not supporting (or even removing support for) inline in Toolbox functions is a first step toward removing inline altogether. But yes, it may be a long time before it is actually removed from Matlab.
