Details:
It's currently not possible to compile Octave from the stable branch with MXE
Octave.
If MXE Octave is configured with "--enable-octave=stable" it still downloads
the sources of the release candidate from alpha.gnu.org:
[download] octave-6.0.90.tar.lz
[build] stable-octave
The existing source tarball with the stable source is overwritten by that
download because it has the same name.
The corresponding log file is named "release-octave-download".
The buildbots seem to have the same issue (i.e., the release and stable
buildbots are building the release candidate).
