Follow-up Comment #109, bug #57591 (project octave):
After reading the discourse message:
There might be a misunderstanding. You can build Octave with 64bit indexing
inside Octave but still use BLAS/LAPACK (and related) libraries that use 32bit
indexing.
Octave itself is careful enough to not call those libraries with too large
indices.
